When is the best time to trade?There is not a best time to trade. Increased trading throughout the day could increase your chance of earning more profits. Although certain markets are open on certain times, it must not stand in your way from trading other markets. What is the difference between Balance, Equity, Margin, Free Margin, and Margin Level Percentage?Balance: Balance refers to the entire value of the account. Equity: Equity is the value of your trading account after your open positions are deducted or added. Margin: Margin refers to the amount that you have invested in your open trades. Free Margin: Free margin is the amount of money you can withdraw. Margin Level Percentage (%): The bigger your Margin Level Percentage, the safer your account. If the Margin Level Percentage drops to 20% your account is being depleted.

What are the fees when trading?TenXTrade offers 3 types of trading accounts and your selection will determine what fees will apply: TenXTrade (ZAR): with this account there are no broker commission when you trade Currency Pairs, Commodities, or Indices. However, each currency pair, commodity, indices, and equities have a spread that applies. The spread is the difference between the buying (bid) and selling (ask) price. The bigger the difference between the bid and the ask the larger the spread.

Where should I place a stop-loss and take profit?Stop-loss: You can place a tight stop-loss a few pips (10-20) above the bearish candle formations. If the price moves above the bearish candle formation, the market is violating the candle formation and the premise of the trade. Take-profit: Can be placed to ensure a risk-reward ratio of at least 1:2. Having a positive risk to reward ratio is one of the behaviours of profitable traders.

What is a margin call?There must be a certain margin amount to maintain your positions open which is expressed through the total percentage of your ongoing trades (Margin Level). Margin Call occurs once your margin level is 80% or below. To protect you from losses, the system may start closing open trades, starting from the one generating the highest loss. Your margin can be increased by making deposits or decreasing open position exposure.
